Salamanda’s live shows are a wild mix of theatre on one hand and a caricature of a rock show on the other. The five guys from Flensburg move flowingly between catchy melodies and unconventional songwriting and would rather lose themselves in their own verve than to serve to the interests of some established scene. That the reaction from the audience spans from laughter and confusion to confessions of love of all kinds shows without a doubt: this band does something to people. Their arms are wide open. Whether they’ll wrap around you in a loving embrace or twirl you in a tender dance, you’ll have to find out yourself.
